The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines
launched the direct air route from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon, Myanmar on Nov.
15.

The HCMC tourism authority will survey a new
tourist route upstream the Saigon River to the neighboring province of Dong Nai
early next month as the city government on Monday gave approval, an official

A Ho Chi Minh Days festival officially opened in
Pusan in the Republic of Korea on October 14 with a special arts programme to
mark 15th anniversary of both cities twinning.
Ho Chi Minh City expects to receive at least 3.3
million foreign visitors in 2011, earning 48 trillion VND (2.4 billion USD),
according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
