Ho Chi Minh City will become a new destination for meetings,
incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) tourism in Southeast Asia thanks
to its dynamic development, especially in transport infrastructure and
accommodations.
Ho Chi Minh City plans to organise numerous activities to mark
the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day
(September 2).

The Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon will hold an exclusive

night life in Saigon in response to the fifth annual Global Day which will take
place simultaneously at nearly 170 Renaissance Hotels around the world.
The 12th Southern Fruit Festival 2016, officially kicked off on
June 1 at Suoi Tien Culture and Tourism Site in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City,

The third edition of a festival designed to honour ‘Ao dai’, the
traditional long dress of Vietnamese women, officially opened on March 8 in Ho
Chi Minh City.
On the occasion of traditional Tet holiday 2016, Ho Chi Minh City
will hold Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2016 under the theme "Ho Chi Minh City -
Peace, Prosperity and Development". The event has been held annually since 2004.
Ho Chi Minh City’s annual spring flower festival will be held at
Tao Dan Park and on Cong Truong Quoc Te Street from February 3 (the 25th day of
lunar December) to February 14 (the 7th day of lunar January) with a myriad of
activities.
While flea markets are relatively new in HCM City, many of them
have become busier than ever, offering a wide array of old and vintage items.
The Department of Tourism together with the Department of
Transport of Ho Chi Minh City and the Saigon Boat JSC launched a boat tour on
the Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe canal in the city on September 1.
A city official has urged the HCM City Tourism Association (HTA)
to carry out measures to raise the city's tourism competitiveness, while
industry leaders have asked the government to amend laws related to tourism.
