Ho Chi Minh City's tourist sector turned over almost VND71.28
trillion in 2012, a 25.3 percent increase from 2011 and a five percent increase
from its annual projections contributing 44.5 percent of all tourism revenues in
Vietnam and about 11 percent of the city's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
This year's flower display on Ho Chi Minh City's Nguyen Hue

HCMC authorities will upgrade the wharf and the pier of Bach Dang

Public museums in HCM City attracted around 2.6 million visitors
last year, with the five museums administered by private organisations and
individuals.
HCM City has welcomed 1,100 foreign scientists, doctors, and
academics who have come on a MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences,
exhibitions) trip for an ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies conference that
runs from yesterday (Nov 17) to tomorrow (Nov 19).
The city-based Ben Thanh Tourist said the visitors are staying at luxury hotels like the Sheraton and Park Hyatt and will visit the Cu Chi guerrilla warfare tunnels and other attractions after wrapping up a workshop. This is the biggest MICE group Ben Thanh has served in 2011.
