The northern mountainous province of Ha Giang has forged links
with the capital city of Hanoi with the aim of promoting its tourism to more
customers.
A seven-kilometre tour around Hoi An’s Cam Thanh Village takes
visitors through the beautiful countryside and straight to the heart of
Vietnamese traditional crafts and lifestyles.
Cultural similarities between Vietnam and Japan as well as unique
characteristics of each culture are reflected through 150 photos at an
exhibition which opened in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on
August 22.
Famous New Zealand BMX cyclist Sarah Walker arrived in the
Vietnamese capital Ha Noi on Monday (Aug 19) to embark on a cycling tour of the

To celebrate 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship
between Viet Nam and Japan (21st September 1973 – 21st September 2013) and Viet
Nam – Japan friendship year 2013, from 23rd to 25th August 2013, Hoi An City’s
People’s Committee, Embassy of Japan and organizations, agencies of Japan in
Viet Nam will jointly organize the 11th Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange program
2013.
A Vietnam-Japan festival, themed “Fukuoka Fair in Hanoi 2013”,
will be held at the Deawoo Hotel from August 29-31 to mark the 40th anniversary
of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
Poland has committed VND840 million (roughly US$40,000) in
non-refundable aid to a project to refurbish King Tu Duc tomb of the Hue Relics
complex.
A series of activities will be held during the 11th Hoi An-Japan
cultural exchange in the central province of Quang Nam from August 23-25.
