The death of Indochina Airlines and the current difficulties of
Air Mekong have raised a big worry that Vietnam would not have a competitive
aviation market, if only the state owned Vietnam Airlines can exist in the
market.
A maritime tourist route between Beihai in the Chinese province
of Guangxi and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam’s northern province of Quang Ninh is to
start operating early this April.

The historic Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature-Imperial
Academy) in Hanoi hosted a special ceremony on February 25 to receive
certificates recognising the site as a special national heritage and its 82
stelae as World Documentary Heritage.
Hoi An received the Top City in the World award voted for by
Wanderlust magazine readers at a ceremony in the central province of Quang Nam
on Saturday.
Tay Giang District in the central province of Quang Nam can be
said to be a new tourism find in Vietnam.
Viet Nam aims to strengthen the brand of its tourism sector in
order to attract more foreign tourists.
An exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s Buddhism Culture” officially
opened at the Vietnam National Museum of History on February 25.
Several festivals, especially religious, being organized in
northern provinces this month have failed to attract tourists from the south due
to rumors of unsafe conditions.
