A 175-year-old house has been restored to its former glory in
Phuoc Tich ancient village, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The 8th Northeastern Region Ethnic Minority Culture, Sports and
Tourism Festival will be held in Tuyen Quang province on September 27-30.
Phnom Penh, Vientiane and HCMC on Thursday signed an agreement on
tourism cooperation through promoting and connecting tourism products, boosting
regional tourism, developing human resources and exchanging students.
Phu Yen is striving to develop its tourism sector into a
spearhead economic industry. Phu Yen's People's Committee recently approved a
project to develop the local tourism until 2015 with vision towards 2020, with

Experts from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)
have toured Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc and Lam Dong provinces to prepare the dossiers
of the Cat Tien National Park to be submitted to the UNESCO for recognition as a
world natural heritage.
The central city will host the Da Nang International Fireworks
Competition on April 29-30 next year, the annual event's organising committee
has announced.
Nha Trang Bay, covering 507km2, is located in Nha Trang City,
Khanh Hoa Province. The bay includes 19 named islands and many small rock
islands. In 2003, it was recognized as one of the most beautiful bays in the
world.
India’s Jet Airways is studying the Vietnamese market in
preparation for starting an air route connecting HCMC with Mumbai in the coming
time.
The Prime Minister has approved the National Target Program for
Culture in the 2012-2015 period, with VND7.399 trillion set aside to restore and
preserve intangible heritages, and develop traditional cultures and arts.
Travel agencies in HCMC during this week will be busy with a
series of programs to promote tourism and introduce products among local and
foreign tour operators.
The number of Chinese travelers to Vietnam has been decreasing
after a long period of hot development, thus causing worries to travel firms.
The national tourism year 2013 will be held in Haiphong City
aiming to introduce destinations, attract both domestic and foreign visitors,
and foster tourism linkage among localities across the country.
500 businesses from more than 30 countries and territories are
participating in the 2012 International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC), which opened in
Ho Chi Minh City on September 12.
