The Huong Pagoda Festival 2011 will open on
February 8 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year), announced Mr. Nguyen Van Hau,
Deputy Chairman of the My Duc District People’s Committee.
As the Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival is
approaching, tourist companies are eagerly preparing to launch tours to serve
not only local holidaymakers but also tens of thousands of foreign visitors.
Hundreds of holidayers in Phan Thiet cheered on
their favorite team at a banh chung wrapping contest at a festival at Sea Horse
Resort on Tuesday night.
First HCM City river tour launched

Tour operators and travel agencies are preparing
to welcome tens of thousands of foreign tourists for the nation's biggest
traditional festival, the Tet.
The first tourist helicopter flight carrying 24
passengers departed from Da Nang City to Cham Island on January 18.
Tourist companies are reporting a drastic drop in
the number of people traveling to the northern region during Tet (Lunar New

The Northern Service Flight Company (NSFC) under
the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation cooperated with Vietnamtourism JSC (Vitours)
to launch first helicopter tours on January 18th.
