The hospitality industry wraps up this year in
unthinkable success, generating revenue of VND96 trillion, or nearly US$5
billion, jumping by around 40% from last year’s VND70 trillion, said the
national tourism administration.
A food and tourism festival called “Buffet tour –
Vietnam’s flavor” will take place in Chi Linh Tourist Village in Vung Tau City,
Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province from December 31 to January 2.
Jetstar Airways has entered commercial agreements
with two Hong Kong carriers – Cathay Pacific and Dragonair – to enable their
passengers to fly with the Australian low-fare carrier and Vietnam’s Jetstar

A project to build an eco-village in Tien Chuong

estimated at VND96 trillion ($4.8 billion), up by 37 percent from last year,
according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
Vitours Travel Company in Danang City has launched
a new service, tours by helicopter, for visitors to the central city of Danang.
Saigontourist Travel Service Company has received
Europa, a hi-class cruise ship, with 750 German passengers on board.
The tourism sector may pocket VND 96 trillion of
total turnover in 2010, up by 37 per cent against last year, according to the
General Department of Tourism.
