With twenty one small islands, the unspoiled Nam Du archipelago
in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang has emerged as an inviting tourist
attraction for those who look for pristine tropical beaches surrounded by pure
atmosphere, glittering sea and smooth white sand.
On 11 April 2016, in Ha Noi, Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA)
in collaboration with TETTO., JSC organized the launching ceremony of VITM
online tourist information portal at www.tripi.vn.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch an
additional 136 one-way flights for domestic routes from April 28 to May 4 to
meet increasing travel demands during the upcoming national holidays.
Da Nang City in Central Viet Nam has set out its goal of
welcoming 8 million tourists per year by 2020 with two millions of them
international visitors generating a total revenue of 27.4 trillion VND (1.2
billion USD).
15 nautical miles from Sa Ky Port to the North, Ly Son Island in
Quang Ngai Province is known as the “natural pearl island” for its charming and
spectacular white sand and blue sea.
Nam Du is an archipelago of 21 islands in Kien Hai district, Kien
Giang province, about 83 km from the mainland by sea. Every day there are about
two high-speed boat trips between the mainland and the island.
The online tourist portal www.tripi.vn was officially debuted on
April 11 on the threshold of the 2016 Vietnam International Tourism Mart (VITM).
The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong attracted 1.32 million
tourists in the first three months of this year, an increase of 10.9% from the
same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports
and Tourism.
Thousands of visitors and pilgrims have flocked to the Phu Day
Festival 2016 which officially kicked off on April 9 (the third day of the third
lunar month) in Kim Thai Commune, Vu Ban District, the northern province of Nam
Dinh.
Phu Quy Island is as dazzling and sparkling as its name, which in
Vietnamese means wealth and honour. It is one of the many rising stars among the
islands of Viet Nam.
The Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA) has launched an award
honouring the best tourist attractions of the country.
A 490-hectare safari park will be built in Lac Duong District of
Da Lat City by the Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park and Da Lat Tourism.
An Bang Beach, 3km east of Hoi An City, has been voted one of the
top 25 beaches in Asia by travel website TripAdvisor, according to the ancient
city’s officials.
Low-cost airline Vietjet will expand the connection between the
capital city with the southern region by launching a route from Ha Noi to Tuy
Hoa in the central coastal province of Phu Yen from May 20, 2016.
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and
Tourism, the city welcomed an estimated 369,339 visitors in March, up 11.5%
compared with the same period last year.
