The Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) signed a cooperation
deal for 2009-2010 in Hanoi on July 15, under which the former will provide
information to make the public.
A 20 minute film about
Vietnam, its land and people will be broadcast on the Star World channel during
the final round of the 2009 Miss World Pageant, said Le Tien Tho, Deputy
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 14th.
The Prime Minister has issued
an action programme on developing culture, sports and tourism activity in the
2009-2011 period.
This figure was released by
the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on July 14th. In particular, in the
first six months of 2009, the local aviation market increased by 15 percent
compared to the same period last year.
According to travel firms,
domestic tourist arrivals have been significantly increasing this summer. The
influx of domestic visitors is seen as positive signs, particularly during such
a difficult time when global international tourism is falling into recession.
The ground-breaking ceremony
of Vedana Lagoon ecotourist site was held on July 9 at Mui Ne Pass, Phu Loc
Small Town, Phu Loc District. Vedana Lagoon is located in the north-west of Mui
