A number of activities to mark
International Museum day (May 18) in Vietnam were introduced at a press
conference jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and
National Cultural Heritage in Hanoi May 16.
One man has recreated a
typical rural farmer’s home in the heart of Hanoi to try and help preserve what
we know about Vietnam’s agrarian culture.
Thousands of people
flocked to the Phat Tich Pagoda in Bac Ninh, the neighboring province
of Hanoi, on May 16 and 17 to worship the giant jade Buddha statue.

birthday (May 19).

the 30th member of the “World’s Most Beautiful Bays” club at a ceremony, which
was held under the framework of the club’s 5th conference in Setubal, Spain from
May 15-17.
A ceremony was solemnly held in the central province of Quang Binh on May 16 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
The Club of the World’s Best Bays (Worldbays) has recognised Lang Co Bay in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue as one of the world’s most beautiful bays, said Worldbays’ Secretary General Bruno Borda.
