The national flagship Vietnam
Airlines will hold the 2009 Vietnam Sea Festival in Paris, France on April 28-29
to promote tourism and attract foreign visitors, especially from France and
Europe, to tourist sites in Vietnam.
When Pho De Paris Hotel in
Cambodia began to sink, the hotel owner planned to tear it down to build a new
one. Hearing about Vietnamese experts, called “lamp genies” for their ability to
raise sunken construction works, he changed his mind.
A huge coconut shell-made
painting entitled “Dien Bien Heroes”, which is expected to be completed on May
20 by painter Vo Quoc Quy, will break two records and become the largest coconut
shell-made painting in Vietnam.
The statue will visit Phat
Tich Pagoda in Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province from May
16-25.

The 14th Congress of National
Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL XIV) themed “Towards dynamic libraries and
information services in Southeast Asian countries” will kick off in Hanoi on
April 21.

Cars with steering wheels on
the rights are to be allowed to run in Vietnam if they are registered in
countries that signed the agreement on transportation with Vietnam.
33 motorbike riders of three
