Garuda Indonesia Airlines
announced that they were considering the opening of direct flights from Jakarta
to Ho Chi Minh City. At present passengers between the two countries have to
transit at Changri Airport of Singapore.
A ferry-boat route between the
two renowned tourist spots, namely Tuan Chau, Quang Ninh Province and Cat Ba,
Hai Phong city is to be opened on March 31st, according to Au Lac Company Ltd.,
