More than 100 photographs of Ha Long Bay are on display at an exhibition commemorating 15 years since it was recognised as a World Natural Heritage site, at the Ly Thai To Garden, Ha Noi.

 The 15th anniversary of Ha Long Bay’s recognition as a world natural heritage site was celebrated in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh on December 15.

 An exhibition entitled “Ha Long Bay – 15 years as a World Heritage site” opened in Hanoi on December 11 to mark the 15th anniversary of the Bay’s recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A series of activities to celebrate the 15 th anniversary of Ha Long Bay’s recognition as the world natural heritage (Dec. 7) in will be held in Hanoi from Dec. 11-14, according to the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee.

It’s a nice day for tourist guide Nguyen Manh Cuong and his 11-strong group of visitors when they travelled Ha Long Bay by chartered helicopter.

The Minh Viet Investment Joint Stock Company (MVIC) on Nov. 15 announced that it will invest in building Bay View Towers in Ha Long in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.

250 Vietnamese and 120 Chinese exhibitors have been registered for the Vietnam-China trade and tourism exhibition to be held at the Hong Van commercial centre in Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, from December 4-12.

Halong Bay has been ranked as one of the 150 most beautiful natural wonders in the world by the French leading e-magazine, L’Internaute. An article portraying Halong Bay – a world natural heritage, was published in September in the Voyager (tourism) column of L’Internaute magazine.

Safety inspections of the pleasure craft that operate in Ha Long Bay will be stepped up in the wake of last week’s drowning, when a boat carrying 25 people flipped over in a sudden squall, local authorities said.

Often called the baby of Ha Long Bay, beautiful and diverse Bai Tu Long Bay holds its own.

Mong Cai Town lies by the bank of the lovely Ka Long River. It harbors the international Bac Luan Border Gate which connects Mong Cai with Guang Xi Province in China. It is 178km from Halong City, 350km from Hanoi.

The Vang Island is situated in the area of Bai Tu Long Bay, about 13km from Cam Pha Town.

Cong Tay Tourist Site is located in Bai Tu Long, about 40km from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf and it takes 90 minutes from Cam Pha to the island by ordinary ship and 30 minutes by express ship.
