Vietnam’s famous destination
Halong Bay will enjoy widespread publicity on the international TV channel Cable
News Network, or CNN, under a deal to promote Vietnam’s tourism likely to be
signed this September, a tourism official said.
NewOpenWorld (NOW) announced
on July 21st the 28 official qualifiers to the final stage of the New Seven
Natural Wonders contest, among which Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay ranks 12th.

Each afternoon, Vu Oai commune
in Quang Ninh province is very bustling, like during a festival. Everybody from
kids to elderly people cheerfully go to the local stream to swim.
The "New7Wonders" contest will
choose 21 sites from around the world for the next phase of voting on July 21,
and Vietnamese agencies are sparing no effort to get Ha Long Bay on the list.
