Vietnam’s world heritage Ha Long Bay in the northern province of
Quang Ninh has been ranked among the world’s top ten destinations for sailing
cruises by the US’ National Geographic book Journeys of a Lifetime.
Quang Ninh province plans to open its representative offices in
Japan and the Republic of Korea in an effort to introduce its tourism potential
to international friends.

festival officially opened at 20.00 on Apirl 11, 2013 at Lan Be Central Park, Ha

trips you must take in your lifetime” recently released by the US magazine
Business Insider.
The northern province of Quang Ninh has selected the U.S.-based
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for making a comprehensive zoning plan on
developing the provincial tourism in 2012-2020 with a vision to 2030.
A seminar aimed at seeking ways to realise the tourism potential
of Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO-recognised World Heritage, was held in northeastern
Quang Ninh province as part of the Ha Long Tourism Week 2012 for European
visitors.
Northern Quang Ninh province is taking a number of urgent
measures to protect Ha Long Bay’s natural environment, said Deputy Chairman of
the provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau on November 14.
Quang Ninh PPC has ratified the proposal that has been jointly
prepared by the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam
Airlines to hold the Ha Long week 2012 for the first time.
The 8th International Tourism Exhibition (ITE HCMC 2012)
will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from September 13-15, a municipal official
has said.
Former Deputy PM Vu Khoan expressed his concern over
environmental pollution in and the encroachment of concrete works into Ha Long
Bay at an international seminar held in Quang Ninh on July 24, which attracted
over 150 foreign and Vietnamese scientists and managers.
