Vietnam Airlines and Jet Airways sign a framework agreement
On the occasion of State President Truong Tan Sang’s visit to
India, the national flag-carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has recently signed a
framework agreement on comprehensive cooperation with its Indian partner Jet
Airways.
President Truong Tan Sang and the Chairman of the Indian Industrial Association
Muthuraman attended the signing ceremony.
The two airlines will cooperate in trade, services, techniques and training and
to prepare for the opening of a new direct flight between India and Vietnam in
the near future.
Besides, Vietnam Airlines and Jet Airways also pledged to work together to
promote the trade, investment and tourism relations between two nations to match
with the Vietnam-India strategic partnership.
Jet Airways and its subsidiary company JetLite is one of the youngest and most
advanced carriers in the world with 116 modern airplanes including Boeing
777-300ER, Airbus A330-200, Boeing 737-700/800/900 and ATR 72-500. The airline
is carrying out 620 flights per days to 80 domestic and international stations
like Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bangkok, Brussels, Colombo, Dammam, Dhaka, Doha and
Dubai.
