Ferry service to help promote Tuan Chau’s tourism

      A ferry service to bring tourists from Tuan Chau Town in Ha Long District, Quang Ninh Province, to the Gia Luan Ferry in Cat Hai District, Hai Phong, is scheduled to be launched at the end of March, 2009.
The service, operated by the Au Lac Company in Quang Ninh Province, will cost the company more than VND 45 billion.
It will take 40-50 minutes for the ferry to travel from Tuan Chau Town to the Gia Luan Ferry Station. After landing, tourists will then travel by bus to the downtown of Cat Ba.
In the near future, three additional ferries will be added to the route, and travel time will be reduced to only 20 minutes for ferries going from Tuan Chau to Gia Luan.
