Majestic beauty of Lung Lo Pass
Lung Lo Pass, located between the provinces of Yen Bai and Son
La, is a location with many legends about the wartime.
With a length of 15km, 57 years ago, Lung Lo Pass was the main road connecting
with the Road 6 to move troops and supply food for the revolutionary army to
defeat Dien Bien Phu entrenched fortification.
Also in this area, to prevent the advance of revolutionary troops, the enemy
threw more than 2,000 bombs, with an average density of nearly 12,000 tons of
bombs per day.
Lung Lo Pass road was devastated by Hurricane No. 7 three years ago. Floodwater
swept straight down from the peak of the pass and the historical pass was cut
into several sections.
If you cross the pass by motorcycle, you will have to walk with the vehicle in
first gear. To go to Thuong Bang La or Muong Coi, you can cross Khe Pass for
more convenient than Lung Lo Pass, but for those who love adventure, conquering
the Lung Lo Pass is much more interesting.
Arriving at Thuong Bang La or Muong Coi, you will have the opportunity to enjoy
specialties of the locals and admire the wild beauty from the peak of the pass,
with the grandeur of mountains, green valleys, terraced fields and corn fields.
Going to Lung Lo to review the years of glorious history and challenge yourself
when overcoming the rough and dangerous mountain pass road is one of the points
in the map of My Kool Vietnam program.
This program is launched to encourage young people to explore the beauty of
tourist destinations in Vietnam and to share comments, photos and guide ... to
everyone about a wonderful and attractive country through the application Kool
Vietnam.
All your shares will be gathered to form an electronic map on the website
www.mykoolvietnam.vn..
