Hai Duong to develop community-based tourism in Dao Co

On October 22 and 23, 2013, Hai Duong’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company co-organized a refresher training course to raise awareness of developing community tourism products at Dao Co (Stork Island) ecotourism area (Chi Lang Nam Commune, Thanh Mien District, Hai Duong Province).
Households living around the area participating in the course were introduced practical guidance on tourist reception; organizing folk games; offering tourists daily experience as digging, planting vegetables, fishing…
The course, a part of the project on “Development of community-based tourism in Dao Co by 2020”, aims to enhance the local people’s knowledge of community-based tourism and environment protection.
Hai Duong Province has defined Dao Co ecotourism and Con Son - Kiep Bac cultural tourism areas as key potentials to boost the provincial tourism in the coming time..
