Photo exhibition on Viet Nam’s World Heritage
In the framework of the 3rd Red Flamboyant Flowers Festival 2014,
a photo exhibition on 15 World Heritage properties of Viet Nam is taking place
in Hai Phong.
The exhibition displays 280 photos on UNESCO-recognized tangible and intangible
heritage of Viet Nam, of which Ha Long Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
were recognized as world’s natural heritage with global aestheticism and geology
as well as typical ecosystems and mysterious caves.
While Thang Long Royal Citadel, Citadel of the Ho Dynasty, and Complex of Hue
Monuments are featured of Vietnamese feudal dynasties’ power, Hoi An Ancient
Town and My Son Sanctuary are typical of acculturation in the process of local
culture integration.
On display are also 8 UNESCO-recognized oral and intangible heritage
masterpieces of Viet Nam including Nha nha-Vietnamese Court Music, Space of Gong
Culture in Central Highlands, Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs, Ca Tru Singing, Xoan
Singing, Worship of Hung King, Giong Festival, and Don Ca Tai Tu.
In addition, the exhibition also displays images of Cat Ba Island which has been
recognized as the Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It fully converges values of
biodiversity conservation and typical tropical ecosystems… With these values,
Hai Phong is preparing Cat Ba Archipelago’s profile for submission to UNESCO for
recognition as a world natural heritage site.
The exhibition will run until 20 May 2014.
