Southern hub ready for International Travel Expo 2014

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee, Le Hoang Quan, has worked with relevant agencies to discuss preparation for the International Travel Expo-Ho Chi Minh city (ITE-HCMC) 2014, held from September 11-13.
According to the city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ITE HCMC 2014 has attracted the participation of an additional 25 provinces and cities over the previous year. The event will host 19 markets with more than 200 travel companies bringing foreign tourists to Vietnam.
The Department reported that China’s Southern Airlines and travel agencies in Guangzhou have started to bring tourists to Vietnam. The organising board has invited 20 Chinese travel agencies to join the exhibition.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, ITE HCMC 2014 will have new features highlighted a special boat festival on the Saigon River. The city's tourism industry hopes that the festival will become a new attraction to help develop its river tourism./..
