The world of Delacour's langurs in Van Long Lagoon

Van Long Lagoon in the northern province of Ninh Binh holds two national records of Vietnam in 2010: the home to the largest community of Delacour’s langurs and the largest natural picture in Vietnam.
Van Long is the largest wetland natural conservation area in the north. This reserve is located in the northeast of Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province.
Surrounded by limestone mountains and spectacular caves, Van Long Lagoon is becoming an attractive eco-tourism site for domestic and foreign tourists.
Van Long Lagoon is also the largest wetland reserve in northern Vietnam, with thousands of fauna and floral species, including many rare species such as white-hipped langur, Tibetan bear, antelope, big loris, red-faced monkeys, leopards, etc. It also has charming and poetic scenery and many relics.
Van Long also has 32 beautiful caves such as Ca, Bong, Rua, Chanh... Each cave has its original beauty. Van Long is not only a submerged nature reserve but also a site of historical heritage. It is a mecca for eco-tourism but also a place to study ideal for researchers, students and Vietnamese and foreign students
Van Long was opened for tourists in 1998 and is now a major tourist destination of the country.
The beauty of Van Long Lagoon has attracted both Vietnamese and international tourists, scientists, photographers and businesspeople. Traveling by boat on the lagoon, tourists can see Delacour's langurs drinking water at the mountain foot or exposing themselves to the sun on the mountain top.
