Viet Nam’s longest lantern road in Da Nang sets record
Thousands of lanterns are lighting up Asia Park in the central
coastal city of Da Nang setting a new record for a road in the area claiming the
title as the longest lantern road in Viet Nam.
The 1.1 kilometre lantern road, adorned with more than 3,000 colourful lanterns
across four areas, currently holds the title of Viet Nam’s longest lantern road,
officially recognised by the Viet Nam Record Association on August 29.
The street’s central area features thousands of Vietnamese traditional paper
lanterns made of paper and bamboo structures. Visitors to the street can also
enjoy a fairy-tale world filled with cartoon characters.
Other sections display artwork reflecting the cultures of Japan, Indonesia and
Singapore.
The event, along with numerous activities including games, lion dances and drum
performances, will run until September 27..
