Na Tau market in the mountainous north-west

      Most of the typical products of Vietnam’s mountainous North-West region can be found in Na Tau Market, a rather small market in Dien Bien District.
Along with other traditional goods, tourists can choose from among numerous embroidery products, all of which are handmade by skilled Thai ethnic minority girls, and sold at various different prices.
In addition, tourists who visit the market also have a chance to see the famous colourful dresses and scarves of the Pieu people. As well, the smiles and hospitality of the local people are big attractions for victors.
The market is also a famous “love market” where young ethnic minority couples are able to find love matches.
