Programme promotes Thai Nguyen’s tourism development
A programme to promote tourism opened at Nui Coc Lake tourist
site in Thai Nguyen Province on April 25.
The opening ceremony featured songs and dances honouring the land, culture and
people of Thai Nguyen Province.
Addressing the opening, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Trinh
Viet Hung said that the programme is among major activities to boost tourism and
trade development in Thai Nguyen while creating a venue for travel agents to
advertise their products and services for customers.
In recent years, Thai Nguyen has exerted much effort and countless resources to
develop the tourism sector while paying much attention to upgrading
infrastructure, historical sites and tourist attractions, he said.
He stressed that local authorities have also been active in boosting tourism
links with other neighbouring cities and provinces in the region.
Thai Nguyen has successfully hosted many cultural and tourism events, which have
attracted and impressed a large number of visitors, thus contributing to
promoting the locality as an attractive tourism destination, he noted.
Visitors to the two-day programme are invited to experience Thai Nguyen’s
tourism products and services by taking part in tours to Nui Coc Lake tourist
site, Tan Cuong tea making village, Thai Hai ecological houses-on-stilts village
reserve, Dinh Hoa historical site, and the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures.
They also have the opportunity to take part in a a typical tea ceremony of Thai
Nguyen as well as sample the locality’s food and traditional cultural practices.
Tourism guidebooks and maps introducing the top 10 tourist attractions in the
province will be presented for visitors for free on the occasion.
