Photo exhibition on Viet Nam’s world heritage in RoK
Photos of Viet Nam’s world heritage were exhibited in the
Republic of Korea’s Capital of Seoul from May 20-30, 2016.
The event was co-organised by Department of Fine Arts, Photography and
Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Viet Nam,
Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet
Nam (KCCV), and the Korea-Vietnam Culture Communication Centre (KCCC).
There were 100 photos displayed in the exhibition including UNESCO-recognised
cultural heritage sites namely Complex of Hue Monuments, Ha Long Bay, My Son
Sunctuary, Hoi An Ancient Town, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Citadel of
the Ho Dynasty, Trang An Landscape Complex; and intangible cultural heritage
forms of Nha Nhac – Vietnamese Court Music, The Space of Gong Culture in Central
Highlands, Quan ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs, Ca Tru Singing, Giong Festival at Phu
Dong and Soc Temples, Art of Don ca tai tu Music and Song in the South of Viet
Nam, Xoan Singing in Phu Tho Province, Vi and Giam Folk Songs of Nghe Tinh.
Viet Nam, known as an attractive destination with beautiful natural sceneries
and the hospitality of local people, particularly a series of UNESCO-recognized
world heritage sites, has become increasingly appealing to domestic and
international tourists.
The photos of world heritage represented not only the beauty of natural
landscapes, but also the cultural diversity and the prosperity of many dynasties
in Viet Nam. The exhibition contributed to introducing the Viet Nam’s landscapes
and culture to Korean citizens and promoting the values of Viet Nam’s world
heritage.
