Binh Dinh achieves tourism success

Central Binh Dinh Province has scored various achievements in the first nine months of the year.
Total number of tourists visiting the province was 2.6 million arrivals, an increase of 26 percent against the same period last year. Foreign visitors reached more than 200,000 arrivals, up by 25 percent.
The average time a visitor spent in the locality was 2.5 days. The total income from tourism in the first nine months was more than VND1,200 billion (US$5.33 million), a 45 percent increase over the same period last year.
Local authorities have given priority to sea tourism and island tours, with various options such as boat tours, sports on the sea, sea diving and seafood, as well as viewing corals and visiting the islands of Ky Co, Nhon Chau and the Phuong Mai sand hill.
The province has coordinated with the neighbouring provinces of Phu Yen, Gia Lai and Dak Lak, and with HCM City, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia to establish new trans-regional tours.
The province plans to further promote home stays in Quy Nhon City..
