Viet Nam promotes tourism in Australia
From 2 – 8 October 2016, Vietnamese tourism delegation led by Mr.
Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of
Tourism (VNAT) organized Vietnamese tourism roadshows in 3 cities of Australia.
In Sydney, speaking before Australian tourism businesses, Deputy Director
General Ha Van Sieu informed that service quality and infrastructure of Viet Nam
tourism have been increasingly improved; and a variety of specific tourism
products have been developed on base of 4 main product lines of cultural
tourism, sea and islands tourism, ecotourism and city-breaks. Viet Nam has
become an attractive tourist destination in Asian region.
Sieu emphasized that Australia has been listed in the top ten leading markets
sending tourists to Viet Nam, which is greatly resulted by the effective
contribution of Australian tourism enterprises and media agencies. Viet Nam
hoped to further strengthen cooperation with Australian tourism organizations,
enterprises and media agencies to bring Australian tourists to Viet Nam.
At the roadshow, representative of Vietnamese delegation introduced attractive
destinations, new tourism products, visa requirements for Australians entering
Viet Nam. In the working session between tourism enterprises of the two sides,
the Australian partners proposed Vietnamese Government continue to facilitate
Australian tourists travelling to Viet Nam, including visa facilitation.
As scheduled, 2 more roadshows will be held in the cities of Melbourne and
Brisbane, Australia.
