Aiming to boost Western European tourist arrivals to Viet Nam,
from 7-13 October 2016, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)
organized a famtrip for tourism enterprises and media agencies from Western
European countries.
On the first days of the famtrip, the delegates had chance to contemplate the
beautiful and majestic landscapes of Trang An (Ninh Binh), Ha Long Bay (Quang
Ninh); and visit some attractions in Ha Noi Capital such as Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, One Pillar Pagoda. The beauty of landscapes and
hospitality of local people impressed all delegates. Particularly, some of them
who had been to Viet Nam before were surprised by the improvement of Viet Nam
tourism.
Addressing at the meeting with the delegation on late 10 October, Director of
Tourism Marketing Department, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Duc welcomed the invitation of the
delegates and wished them a pleasant journey. He hoped to strengthen tourism
cooperation with the enterprises and media agencies to promote Viet Nam tourism
and attract more visitors from the Western European countries.
Phu Quoc Island and Ho Chi Minh City are the famtrip’s next destinations before
coming back their countries.

tourism. The number of visitors from 5 Western European countries including the

(+27.9%), 189,894 arrivals from the UK (+23.1%), 125,620 arrivals from Germany
