Int’l visitors to Viet Nam keeps growing strongly with over 9 million arrivals

International visitors to Viet Nam in November estimated 926,642 arrivals, increasing 14.1% compared to the previous month and 24.9% over the same period of 2015, the General Statistics Office reported.
Of which, visitors by air reached 768,221 arrivals, accounting for 82.9%; by sea: 16,843 and by road: 141,578, accounting for 1.8% and 15.3%, respectively.
In the 11 months of this year, Viet Nam received 9,004,039 international arrivals, rising 25.4% over the same period last year, above this year’s target of 8.5 million arrivals. At the same time, the number of domestic trippers estimated 57.7 million.
Most of markets recorded positive growth in comparison with the same period of 2015 including: Hong Kong (+72.9%), China (+53.9%), the Republic of Korea (+39.2%), New Zealand (+35.4%), Russia (+29.1%), Thailand (+29.0%), Italy (+28.5%), Spain (+27.7%), Holland (+23.5%) and England (+20.8%).
Total tourism receipts reached VND368,600 billion, up 18.6% over the same period last year.
