Three Vietnamese swimming pools among world's most stunning
Vietnam has three swimming pools in the beach cities of Hoi An,
Da Nang and Nha Trang in the list of 101 most stunning swimming pools in the
world, released ahead of summer by Conde Nast Traveller, one of the most popular
travel sites in the world.
Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Fusion Maia Da Nang, and I-Resort The Tent own
among the most stunning swimming pools in the world, according to Conde Nast
Traveller.
The list is based on the view of the pools, from hotel horizon-edge pools to
private plunge pools, and the votes of travelers all over the world.
Only about 30 minutes from Da Nang International Airport and ten minutes from
the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An ancient town, the Four Seasons Resort
The Nam Hai is a favorite of many visitors to Hoi An, including Vietnamese and
South Korean celebrities.
Looking over beautiful Cham Island and Ha My Beach, which was voted in the Top
16 most beautiful beaches in Asia by the UK’s Daily Telegraph, the infinity pool
at the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai has three levels, making it
second-to-none in the region. The pool is like connecting to the sea between two
ranges of coconut trees, providing an amazing experience.
Two other UNESCO sites can be reached from the resort, including the former
imperial capital of Hue and the My Son Sanctuary and its Cham towers.
The second Vietnamese name on the list is Fusion Maia Da Nang, in the center of
the central coastal city of Da Nang. Located on beautiful My Khe Beach, the
five-star resort is famous for its all-inclusive spa and yoga retreat. With a
waterfall in a tropical lush garden, the pool provides a stunning view of the
beautiful natural surroundings. Each of 80 villas at the resort also have a
private pool, offering another option for guests.
Fusion Maia Da Nang was recognized as the “Best of the Best” in the Condé Nast
Traveller Spa Awards 2018, with the “all-spa inclusive” beach resort being
described as “a gastronomic haven at the vanguard of clean eating” and also
received the 2018 award for “Best Clean Eating Fix”.
Meanwhile, about 7 km from the center of Nha Trang, I-Resort The Tent was
surprisingly voted by international visitors though it is largely unknown even
to many Vietnamese.
The swimming pool is set against the sunny mountain scenery with fresh snacks
served from thatched huts that are typical Vietnamese houses in the countryside.
The architects used local materials such as stone, wood and coconut leaf to make
the buildings and local flowers and fauna to soften the environment. The overall
effect is so good that I-Resort The Tent was honored with the Asian Architecture
Award 2013.
Inside an operating mineral hot spring, I-Resort The Tent was built for
relaxation and is an ideal hideaway for anyone looking for tranquility and a
healthy experience, with mud baths, mineral water baths, and hot springs,
together with massage in the beautiful spa area. The coastal city of Nha Trang
is known for its sandy beaches and untouched islands and is also home to the
remains of the Champa Kingdom and Buddhist temples of high cultural value.
The list was dominated by European resorts, though Thailand and Indonesia also
found spots.
