Halong Tourism Festival 2009 officially debuts

      The Quang Ninh People’s Committee yesterday announced the launch of the Halong Tourism Festival 2009 and the opening of an exhibition to display “Made in Quang Ninh” products, which will take place from April 24th to May 2nd 2009 with the theme “Halong Wonder – Rendezvous”.
The main venue of the festival is the Bai Chay tourism zone in the centre of Halong with other programmes to be held in tourism centres in Mong Cai, Van Don and Uong Bi.
The festival this year will showcase many outstanding activities such as a carnival, a heritage meeting festival, and cuisine culture festivals with the main focus to be on the Halong Carnival.
Nhu Thi Hong Lien, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee said that tourism and trade promotion activities will also be launched during the festival.
