Cherry Blossom Festival to take place in Hanoi

      Japanese cherry blossoms will show their beauty in Hanoi again this year as the cherry blossom festival takes place for the 3rd time.
The Cherry Blossom Festival 2009, welcoming in 999 years of Thang Long – Hanoi is planned to take place from April 10th to April 12th in Quan Ngua Sports Complex in Hanoi.
According to the organisers, 600 large branches of cherry blossoms will be brought to Vietnam on April 9th and then assembled into four big cherry blossom trees.
The organisers also plan to make seven cherry blossom trees, which will be made from silk to entertain visitors.
On the last day of the festival, there will be also be Japanese Yosakoi dancing in Hanoi’s streets. Previously this performance attracted many people at the prior festivals.
