High-speed ferry between Tuan Chau and Cat Ba to be put in use

      A ferry-boat route between the two renowned tourist spots, namely Tuan Chau, Quang Ninh Province and Cat Ba, Hai Phong city is to be opened on March 31st, according to Au Lac Company Ltd., the project investor.
The investor said that they have managed to finish the project in time to celebrate the Ha Long Tourist Festival 2009 and the opening ceremony of the Hai Phong Tourist Season 2009.
Under the plan, the ferry-boat is scheduled to operate 12 trips per day from 6 a.m. to 18 p.m. every day.
High-speed ferry-boats will be used on the route to transport tourists between the 2 destinations in about 40-50 minutes.
Reportedly, Au Lac Company will also launch a luxury cruise ship named Tuan Chau on the same day. Total investment in the 2 projects is mounting to nearly VND 1 trillion.
