Vietnamese admire cherry blossoms in Japan

      Hundreds of Vietnamese people went to Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Japan to enjoy cherry blossoms last Saturday, March 28. The programme was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.
Late March and early April is the time for the cherry blossom festival in Japan. This year, for the first time the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan organised a “Hanami” (enjoying cherry blossoms) for Vietnamese students, embassy staff and Vietnamese people working and living in Japan.
The place chosen for the Hanami was Yoyogi Park, around a 10-minute walk from the embassy, but the organising board had to book the place one day earlier. The programme attracted around 200 Vietnamese people.
