Sundown on Phu Quoc Island
If you want a magical view of
a sunset from a beach in Vietnam, then go to Phu Quoc – the biggest island in
Vietnam off Kien Giang Province.
When the sun goes down on Duong Dong Beach, the sparkling sunlight turns into a
yellow “dancing” on white waves. As sunset approaches Phu Quoc, earth seems to
be conjoined with heaven, masses of orange clouds mixed with the red horizon.
Tourists will truly appreciate and be impressed by “the catch of the day.” At
the same time, they will be reminded of the mysterious anecdotes about Mac Cuu.
He discovered Ha Tien land where King Gia Long of the Nguyen dynasty settled
after his flee from Tay Son troops of King Quang Trung. When the darkness falls,
the beach is deserted; it’s also the time for squid boats to light lamps and go
out to sea. Schools of squid boats make up a floating city on the sea when seen
from afar.
This is just one of the many wonderful things that enchant tourists, especially
couples, who come to Phu Quoc. It makes for a memory of a lifetime.
Duong Dong is the chief town of Phu Quoc, and it is known for having the most
beautiful landscapes on the island. It is famous for Dinh Cau, a temple devoted
to the Whale God, according to the beliefs of local residents. In Dinh Cau
Temple, tourists will witness the sundown on the western sea, a beautiful
picture that can’t be seen anywhere else in Vietnam.
Favored by nature, Phu Quoc has been called the pearl island, a perfect tourist
destination. Therefore, it is a wonderful place to go for a holiday, to relax,
to wallow in the natural scenery, or to swim in the deep blue sea and feel its
beauty. There are beautiful beaches with clear blue water and long white
stretches of sand around Phu Quoc Island such as Truong and Kem beaches.
There’s only one word to express the beauty of Phu Quoc, and that is
“wonderful.” The isolated and romantic scenery gives tourists tranquility and
rejuvenation, making Phu Quoc the best tourist destination in Vietnam.
