More trains from HCM City to Nha Trang for holidays
To meet the rising demand for travel during the upcoming holidays – Hung Kings’ death anniversary (April 4), Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day – the Sai Gon Railway Station will put an additional six pairs of trains on the Sai Gon-Nha Trang route.
On the Hung Kings’ death anniversary, besides a daily train (SNT72), there will be two more trains (SN4 and SN6) for the HCM City-Nha Trang route today.
The SN4 train will depart from the Sai Gon Railway Station at 10:10pm and the SN6 train will leave the station at 11.15pm today. There will be one more train to bring passengers from Nha Trang to HCM City on April 5 and 6.
For the Liberation Day, there will be an additional four pairs of trains from HCM City to Nha Trang from April 29 to May 2.
Cambodia includes Phu Quoc island in new tour
The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism has decided to open a new tour that links its four coastal provinces with Phu Quoc island in Kien Giang Province of Viet Nam.
Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said the new tour connecting the island with the provinces of Koh Kong, Kongpong Som, Kampot and Posat, would help increase the number of foreign travellers, including those from Laos and Viet Nam to Cambodia.
Thailand lures Vietnamese motor tourists
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is working with travel agencies in Viet Nam over a package tour by car to the southern region of Thailand which takes in the country’s renowned tourist destinations, including Pattaya and Bangkok.
The land tour targets Vietnamese travellers from southern provinces who will travel by car to Cambodia for a one-night stay before arriving in southern Thailand.
According to TAT’s figures, last year Thailand received some 330,000 Vietnamese travellers, up 80,000 over 2007. Over the same period, 180,000 Thai people visited Viet Nam, 20,000 more than the previous year.
Four-star hotel opens in Ha Long Bay
The four-star Novotel Ha Long Bay hotel was officially put into operation last week in the coastal city of Ha Long in Quang Ninh Province.
Under management of the world’s leading hotel management company, Accor, the Novotel Ha Long Bay is the first-ever international-standard hotel in the coastal city. The 12-floor hotel has 214 rooms that have been equipped with modern facilities. It also contains a 150-seat restaurant, a 300-seat ballroom, a 80-seat bar and an open-air swimming pool.
Novotel Ha Long Bay is the ninth hotel in Viet Nam to be managed by Accor.
