International Tourists visitting Vietnam decreases

The number of tourists who arrived in Vietnam in January of 2009 saw a slight increase over the previous month, but the figure was still much less than the same period last year.
Statistics from Vietnam National Administration of Tourism showed that in January of this year, Vietnam welcomed over 370,000 international visitors, up by 3.3% compared to the previous month. However, the number is 11.9% less than the figure of the same period last year.
Topping the list is a growing number of visitors coming from China, with 60,700 people in January alone. Next is Japan with 35,000 people, and thirdly, the USA with 33,400 tourists.
