MICE tourism thrives

      Despite a decline by 16% in the number of international tourists to Vietnam, in the first three months in 2009, Saigontourist’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism saw a surge for the same period with a total 10,500 tourists, an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year.
Saigontourist has so far received nearly 1,500 international MICE tourists.
Meanwhile, the number of MICE Vietnamese tourists going abroad has unexpectedly gone up; over 800 MICE Vietnamese tourists to Thailand, more than 300 tourists to South Korea, and 100 tourists to Europe, the US and Japan.
