Spain funds training for Vietnamese tourism managers
The HCM City Law University is
working with Spain’s Institute of International Legal Studies to run a five-week
legal training course on tourism management in June.
The course aims to improve the abilities of tourism administrators in
interpreting and enforcing the tourism law. The training course will be held in
Vietnam for two weeks and then in Spain for three weeks.
Trinh Anh Nguyen from the University said that managers in the tourist industry
would learn about contracts, regulations on compensation and insurance.
Participants in the course will also be taught about environmental protection,
laws on protecting cultural heritage and other related subjects. Marketing,
branding, the use of promotional tools and destination strategies will also be
discussed.
Bruno Aguilara Barchet, director of the Spanish institute, said the students
would learn from mistakes made by the tourism sector in Spain, which is the
second most-visited country in the world.
The course will take place in Spanish, with Vietnamese people studying in Spain
acting as interpreters.
After the five-week training course, the participants will be awarded a
certificate by the chancellor of HCM City Law University and the Institute of
International Legal Studies.
