Diverse cultural activities to take place at Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
The Vietnam Museum of
Ethnology has attracted a lot of Vietnamese and foreign visitors for its diverse
cultural activities regarding the 54 Vietnamese ethnic minority groups.
From April 30th to May 3rd, the museum will provide free guide for out-door
traditional architectural works in the museum. Visitors will get more
information about the cultural life, lifestyle and architecture of many ethnic
minority groups in Vietnam.
Folk games such as tug of war and dances will also be held on this occasion.
Water puppetry performances will also take place. Visitors will have the chance
to talk with artisans who perform water puppetry to understand more about their
life, and the art and challenges in the preservation of this art.
In addition, from June 6th to August 8th 2009, young people will have an
opportunity see various objects of the ethnic minority groups displayed at the
museum and enjoy learning how to decorate cloth.
An exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of Truong Son trail will be held from
June 9th to October 11th 2009.
Apart from these activities, the museum will continue with regular activities,
such ca tru performances and cultural exchange with ethnic minority people.
