New tour opened in An Giang

     The first agricultural tour was launched yesterday in An Giang province after two years of preparation.
On the opening day, as many as 30 international tourists enjoyed the tour.
The tourists visited the memorial centre dedicated to former State President Ton Duc Thang in Long Xuyen city. Then, they were entertained by a boat race in Chau Doc town, and a Chol Chnam Thmay traditional festival of the Khmer ethnic group in Tri Ton district. The tour ended at Nui Cam (Forbidden Mountain) in Tinh Bien district.
Of special note is that such an interesting tour costs only VND 300,000 a person.
The tour is under the agricultural tourism project, sponsored by the Netherlands, through the Vietnam Central Association of Farmers and is planned to jointly be continued for 3 years, 2007-2009, with the total investment of EUR 300,000.
