Muong Lo – a fascinating tourist destination
Muong Lo field is a large rice
bowl in the North-Western region of Vietnam. Nghia Lo town and Van Chan District
are located inside Muong Lo area, which is surrounded by mountain ranges that
highlight the fascinating and fertile region.
The area is home to 13 ethnic minorities and is the cradle of the legendary Thai
ethnic minority.
Visiting Muong Lo, guests will have a chance to enrich their knowledge of
practices and customs of the ethnic minorities, as well as taking part in unique
long-standing festivals and social exchanges, or even being invited to dances
with ethnic minority girls.
If visitors arrive in Muong Lo during the spring, they will have a chance to
contemplate the mysterious beauty of the region's native white flower of Ban
taken after the name of a girl with a love story related to it.
There are still a number of historical relics in Muong Lo. Such memorial places
of martyrs, and the late artist To Ngoc Van, who laid down their lives during
the resistant war against the French colonists; the memorial area of President
Ho Chi Minh, with a house on stilts; an orchard, a pool full of fish and a
museum will remind visitors of the past events that happened in the area.
