House dedicated to President Ho built on Truong Sa
The Ho Chi Minh Memorial
Complex will be inaugurated on Truong Sa Lon (Big Spratly) Island on May 19,
2010 or the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
The Memorable Complex will have a total area of over 700sq.m, at a cost of VND4
billion ($235,000), raised from the budget and people’s contributions.
The ground-breaking ceremony of this work took place on Truong Sa Lon Island
last week.
“I hope people from all over the country will contribute objects and documents
about President Ho Chi Minh to the memorial complex,” said Vice Party Chief of
the central province of Nghe An, Tran Binh Minh, at the ceremony.
On this occasion, the construction of Hanoi’s guest house on Truong Sa Lon
Island began. This is the first guest house on the island to serve vistors
coming to the Truong Sa Islands. This work is scheduled for completion next
year.
