Diversity of landscape and life on display at Paris exhibit
Parisians have been given the
chance to catch a glimpse of Vietnamese culture and people at a photo exhibition
that opened at the Viet Nam Culture Centre last Saturday.
Entitled Vietnamese Culture Space, the exhibit includes nearly 200 photos
depicting the diversified beauty of Vietnamese people and landscapes.
The show highlights vivid images from the country including one of an ethnic
girl with a brilliant smile, charming girls in their ao dai (traditional dress)
on Ha Noi streets, and the awesome limestone karst formations in Ha Long Bay.
Other photos include the mystic beauty of the My Son heritage site in the
central province of Quang Nam, the mossy roofs of Hoi An's ancient town and the
royal buildings of imperial Hue.
Colourful traditional ethnic "costumes from Viet Nam and sophisticated
handicraft products also are on display.
Speaking at the exhibition's opening ceremony, the director of the Viet Nam
Culture Centre, Pham Xuan Sinh, said the exhibition will contribute to
strengthening the relationship information exchange between Viet Nam and France
as well as offer the Vietnamese community in France the opportunity to learn
more about their homeland.
