Vietnam helps to upgrade Lao’s leading museum
The entire roof of the Kaysone
Phomevihane Museum in Vientiane, Laos, has been repaired as part of a 6.1
billion VND non-refundable aid from Vietnamto help upgrade the whole museum.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Chien Thang was among those
present at the handing over ceremony held on April 21.
The Lao authorities are extremely grateful to Vietnam for its assistance in
repairing and upgrading the museum, which is dedicated to the late President
Kaysone Phomvihane.
They said the project has contributed greatly to strengthening the special
relationship between Vietnam and Laos which was first cultivated by their first
Presidents-Ho Chi Minh and Kaysone Phomvihane.
