Passengers at the airport given advice for preventing swine flu
20 airlines were given 500,000
health leaflets to give to passengers arriving in Tan Son Nhat International
Airport, said Ho Chi Minh City Health Department.
The brochures include instructions and advice to prevent the spread of swine flu
and asked all passengers arriving at Tan Son Nhat International airport to fill
in information, mostly relating to where they recently traveled and if they have
any symptoms.
According to the International Medical Quarantine Centre, the forms will be
submitted at the custom service and will be put in an archive system.
Doctor Nguyen Van Sau, Director of the Quarantine Centre said that on April
30th, 6,000 international passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat International
Airport and seaports, including 300 from areas affected by the flu. However, the
centre has not found any cases that have symptoms of the flu.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health approved the delivery of 5,000 face masks to
prevent the flu type, known as “AH1N1”, to medical staff of the International
Medical Quarantine Centres in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City has also received 5,000 Tamiflu doses to deliver
to its medical centres.
