The photo exhibition ‘On the
Ha Giang Stone Plateau’ by photographers from Hong Ha club of the Vietnam
Photographic Artists’ Association has recently opened at 45 Trang Tien street,
Hanoi.
The exhibition is held to support the State Scientific Council’s file set up for
UNESCO’s submission to recognise Ha Giang stone plateau as the world natural
heritage.
Photographers of the club left Hanoi for Ha Giang mountainous area to take the
pictures of the beauty of the stone plateau. The field trip has resulted in
1,000 pictures featuring the inspiration of stone and highlanders taken by 17
photographers. This is also the 17th photo exhibitions by the club since its
establishment.
Like geologists who go to discover resources inside the earth, Hong Ha club’s
members set food in special places n Ha Giang such as old houses behind Dong Van
market, Nho Que river, Khau Vai love market...
Viewers have a chance to enjoy stone walls as beautiful as a painting in ‘Spring
in Lung Phin’ by Le Vuong; a new vitality after days of cold winter in
‘Sunshine’ by Le Cong Ich; children gathering by the fire in the evening after
tending buffalos in ‘Childhood’ by Kim Manh or soil just turned over in
‘Ploughing’ by Lai Dien Dam...
Photographer Dinh Quang Thanh, head of the club said “We have been to the whole
area of the plateau just for lively pictures on the land of border area.”
Also according to photographer Thanh, this is their first exhibition in which
all the pictures will be sold. All the money will be donated to poor students of
