Nguyen Son opens “Golden Age”
Ten oil paintings, thirteen
digital paintings, three installation works and one art video clip are the new
artworks that painter Nguyen Son is about to introduce to audiences in his solo
exhibition at the HCM City Fine Arts Association.
Son’s contemporary artworks feature a gross life, with hidden corners, where man
searches his heart and mind and the connection between himself and the world.
His artworks are diverse in genres and materials and each work shows Son’s view
of art and living conceptions. “New boss”, “Someone in the crowd”, “Vong” (oil
paintings) or “Excited crowd”, “Sad Davis”, “Tranquil marsh” (digital art) are
interesting experiments in revealing what is concealed though we may see every
day.
The exhibition will open at 6pm, May 16, at 218A Pasteur, District 1, HCM City
and close on May 21. Nguyen Son and art critic Nguyen Quan will talk with the
audience and the press about the exhibition’s theme before the opening ceremony.
